Cat Specialist Services (CSS) was founded by Dr Rachel Korman, a feline specialist who trained in the United Kingdom, with the vision of creating a hospital dedicated exclusively to cats. Since its establishment, CSS has been providing advanced, stress‑minimised, and compassionate care for feline patients across South East Queensland. Our hospital combines specialist veterinary expertise with a cat‑friendly environment, ensuring the best outcomes for patients while supporting a collaborative and professional team culture.
Our services include internal medicine, cardiology, surgery, oncology, critical care, dentistry, nursing, and support services. We also host our Annual Conference to support ongoing learning and professional development.
Join our Feline Internship Programme and develop your clinical skills in feline internal medicine within a supportive, specialist, cat-only hospital. Working alongside feline specialists, a registrar, resident, emergency veterinarians and experienced nurses, you will gain hands on exposure to complex referral cases, advanced diagnostics, anaesthesia, medical management and client communication.
The role includes observing and assisting with advanced procedures such as bronchoscopy, gastrointestinal endoscopy, endoscopic biopsy collection and electrocautery, as well as advanced diagnostic imaging and therapeutic interventions.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your confidence managing complex respiratory, gastrointestinal, oncological and internal medicine cases. For an exceptional candidate, the internship may provide a pathway to a future residency position, subject to performance, service requirements and training position availability.
