Job Description

The Opportunity

Veterinary Specialist Services is excited to offer a Full-Time Hospital Veterinarian position at our Underwood hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a dynamic team of specialists, providing high-quality care within our well-established internal medicine, emergency and surgery services.

This role is well suited to a veterinarian who is passionate about patient care and enjoys working across a variety of services. During weekday rostered shifts, this position will support our Emergency, Internal Medicine and Oncology teams with the assessment, management and ongoing care of hospital patients. On weekend rostered shifts, the role will focus on attending to Internal Medicine and Surgery discharges, while also helping to support inpatient care and providing clinical support to our nursing team. This is a hands-on role that is integral to maintaining continuity of care and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients, clients and referring veterinarians.

Desired Skills and Experience

What We Are Looking For

  • A veterinarian with a BVSc or equivalent, with registration to practice in Australia.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience
  • A strong interest in Emergency, Internal Medicine and Oncology, with an appreciation for multidisciplinary patient care
  • A collaborative team player who can integrate smoothly within our specialist team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to providing high-quality care to patients, clients, and referring veterinarians.
